A car wash ceiling is easy to overlook when attention is on the wash bays below. At CarLovers in Rural View, Pristine Washing washed the ceiling. These project photos take a closer look at that overhead area and the visible difference after cleaning.
This article focuses on the ceiling itself. If you are planning a clean at a commercial property, it is a useful example of why the areas above eye level deserve a place in the conversation.
The ceiling area we cleaned
The photos show the underside of the corrugated roof above the wash bays, with metal supports, pipework and light fittings nearby. The dirty view has a noticeable yellow-green band and scattered marks across the roof underside. In the clean view, that same section looks clearer.

The comparison shows the ceiling condition rather than a new coating or replacement. The metal framework still has its own visible finish and markings. Cleaning should not be confused with repainting or repairing the structure.
Why the overhead area needs its own scope
A request to clean a car wash or another commercial property can cover quite different surfaces. The ceiling, signage, walls and concrete are separate areas, and a quote should make clear which ones are included.
For this photo story, the confirmed work is ceiling washing. The surrounding walls, lights and wash-bay equipment help show the setting, but their appearance in a photo does not mean they were all part of the clean.
Our exterior building cleaning service page explains the wider service. For a different scope of work, our earlier Car Lovers exterior-cleaning article covers signage, building surfaces and concrete.
What to send when asking about ceiling cleaning
A few photos can help start a useful discussion before a site assessment. For an overhead area, send:
- A wide photo showing the ceiling and the space underneath it.
- A closer view of the marks or build-up that concern you, taken from a safe position.
- Details of the surface or coating, if known, and any visible deterioration.
- Information about access, nearby equipment and when the area is in use.
There is no need to climb up to get an enquiry photo. Let us know if the area cannot be photographed safely from the ground. The surface, condition and access need to be considered before agreeing on a cleaning approach.
Planning a commercial clean in Mackay?
Start by listing the areas you want included, from the ceiling above to any separate walls or concrete below. That makes it easier to discuss a clear scope rather than assume a general building wash includes everything.
For more planning pointers, read our commercial pressure-cleaning checklist. If you have a ceiling or building exterior that needs attention, request a quote from Pristine Washing with your suburb and photos.
